"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Discipleship: Simply put: leading people to Christ, mentoring, training, releasing these equipped disciples for reproduction.The Old and New Testaments give examples of discipleship such as Moses worked with the leaders of Israel, Moses trained Joshua, Eli trained Samuel, Elijah trained Elisha, David trained many musicians, Jesus trained 12 and many other and Paul trained Timothy.
One of the main aims of the Life Kingdom Ministries is to equip the believers, Pastors, Church leaders so they will become more effective in the Kingdom of God through a Discipleship Training Programme. There is a very big lack of trained Ministers in Pakistan. There are hundreds of Pastors who did not have opportunities to get any Theological/Pastoral Training with one or other reasons. Many are serving as part time ministers as well.
Pakistan has a population of more than 180 million people. 96% of Pakistan's population is Islamic (Muslim). More than 60% of the population is illiterate. Almost 65% of the population is Extremely Poor. Country like Pakistan people always asks many questions to these Pastors about their faith in God and the Bible. Lack of Discipleship training causes a lot of confusion and hinders the full message of the Gospel. Some have even small and big congregations with a number of 200 plus members to shepherd so they need Urgent Discipleship Training.
LKM has commenced "Kingdom Bible College" to these Church Leaders/Pastors and providing Discipleship Training for the effective ministry of the Word. We are thankful to God for many testimonies and reports of these Christian leaders about the positive changes in their preaching, understanding of the Bible and in overall ministry. |
